TomTom recommends that you update your One XL GPS receiver frequently to ensure that you have up-to-date information about streets, speed limits and points of interest. The TomTom One XL includes a limited period of free map and application updates, which allows you to stay current on road information when you are on the go.
TomTom navigation devices with the Lifetime Map Update Service can come with or without a Lifetime Maps promotion code. Select your type of navigation device from the list below: Devices with a code using MyDrive Connect (GO 2000 series, VIA series, GO LIVE series, Blue&Me TomTom 2, Sony XNV, TomTom Connect ). To update the TomTom map, follow these instructions-Install TomTom home on your computer. Then, connect the computer with the navigation device. After that, log into your TomTom account. Click on the Tools Menu and then go to ‘Use the Latest Map Guarantee’ option. If a newer version of the map is available, then it gets displayed on the screen.
Step 1
Connect the TomTom One XL to your PC using the receiver's USB Cable.
Step 2
Launch the TomTom Home software on your PC and log in to your account.
Click 'Tools' and select 'Use Latest Map Guarantee' to begin the update.
